Currently, I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering - Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia). I am the Director of the Master in Analytics Intelligence for Decision-Making, and I am a Fogarty Global Health Fellow of the National Institutes of Health (USA).

Prior to joining the Department, I have been a visiting researcher at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Universidad de Barcelona, and Director for Quality Assurance for Higher Education at the Ministry of National Education of Colombia.

I am a doctor that designs and implements organizational strategies by observing the world using the complex systems paradigm. I am interested in solving real-world problems using data analytics, modeling, and mathematical simulation, especially by applying network science.  

 

I have experience as a researcher, consultant and executive in the organizational systems field in areas including health, education, and retail.

I believe that we are all involved in social networks. We can turn complexity into simplicity by considering not only actors but also the relations among them.
